I live in Tokyo. By day, I'm an engineer at an IT company — twenty years now. By night and on weekends, I keep writing, and keep building my own small products.
Background
From 2006 to 2011, I played in a band called Cats and Dogs. Five years on the floors of Shibuya LA MAMA, Harajuku ASTRO HALL, and Yoyogi Zher the ZOO. The full story is in the first post.
Around the time the band quietly faded, I became a full-time employee at the IT company where I'd been working part-time. I've been writing code there ever since.
Now
Working as a system engineer by day, I build small products on the side. What's shipped and what's in progress lives on the Work page.
Writing is a relatively recent thing for me. The plan is to write what I notice and what I think, without forcing it into a category. If anything reaches someone of my generation, that's enough.
Tokyo
I've always lived in Tokyo. Writing, making things — both happen in this city. Eventually I'd like to introduce some of my favorite places and shops here, in English, for visitors coming to Tokyo.
